The elements are not only natural phenomena we are used to hearing about, but also fundamental forces that weave our world together. In magical practice, the elements are archetypes of energy through which the will of the Universe, natural processes, and a person’s worldview and character are expressed.
Traditionally, four elements are classified: Fire, Air, Water, and Earth. However, we would like to tell you a bit more.

The theory of the four elements was first developed by the ancient Greek philosopher Empedocles, who believed that all elements are material and endowed with the properties of love (philia) and strife (phobia), which cause the movement of matter.
According to Aristotle, the elements are different manifestations of primary matter, combining the basic qualities of heat, cold, moisture, and dryness.
Heat + dryness = Fire
Heat + moisture = Air
Cold + moisture = Water
Cold + dryness = Earth
Aristotle also identified a fifth element: aether, or the principle of motion. The system of five elements can also be found in the Vedas (sacred texts of India), especially in Ayurveda (the ancient system of traditional medicine), and in the “five great elements” of Hindu tradition: Bhumi (Earth), Jala (Water), Agni (Fire), Vata (Air), and Akasha (space, zero, ether, or emptiness). Followers of Hinduism believe that after death, the human body dissolves into these five elements, restoring the balance of the natural cycle.

🜃 Earth — matter from which everything is born and into which everything returns. It represents stability, endurance, and the ability to stand firmly. Earth grants a person patience and inner strength.
