The Mademoiselle Lenormand Oracle is one of the most famous card decks used for fortune-telling. Its attractive symbolism carries strong power, allowing insight into the future. The meanings of the cards are easy to interpret thanks to the interpretations attributed to Marie Anne Lenormand, who became known as Madame Lenormand or the “Sibyl of the Salon” and is said to have read fortunes for Napoleon Bonaparte.
Based on standard playing cards, she created an improved Lenormand Oracle deck around 1840, which was later published in Paris in 1890.
